Very interesting subject requiring more thought than I’m capable of providing, but in an age of the Internet and “reality” television distinguishing fact from invention is getting trickier. In this instance producer Bill Sorem may have acted on a genuine tip and filmed a “legit” story; or he may have decided to “create” a story to make a point containing some element of truth–and maybe it just doesn’t matter.

    1. It does matter, and sharing more information about its process and how some of these stories come about is one thing the Uptake could perhaps stand to improve.

If a tree falls in the woods and there is no one there to hear it, does it make a noise?

If something happens at a Target store, and there is no media person there with a video camera, is it reality?

It the weekend, and i am going to go get a cold one….
