A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE

Seven years ago today, our nation suffered its greatest tragedy..one we now refer to simply as 9-11.

We will never know the number killed that day. Was it 2,660? Or 2,951? Or is it closer to 2,998?

Between the number of confirmed dead and presumed dead lies a haunting number of people who were vaporized, leaving not as a much as a bone fragment for family to bury. And, there were the undocumented victims, those with no identity or family at all, who in death remain as anonymous as they were in life.

Today, to honor them all, I propose we call a moratorium to our usual banter.

Instead, let us simply remember.
