  1. This is pretty cool. If you saw the YouTube page this video came from, you know it’s from a group called Improv Everywhere. So why’d they do it? It’s art. You know, like smoking in Minnesota bars. It’s OK because it’s “theater.”

Ah art. Interpret what you may. I see a stunning impressionistic portrayal of John Kerry’s rapid response team.

About 50 people from this troupe descended in 2006 on one of our NYC stores – all of them wearing blue shirts and khakis. Can’t speak for the store managers, but I found it amusing.

It’s now ironic that several of the troupe’s group photos from that Best Buy “mission” (their language) are regularly mistaken as an actual company photos of our employees. And it’s amusing when outside agencies use that image to illustrate a point about our workforce (shows attention to detail isn’t very strong…).

I was simply looking through past blog posts and wanted to add that students at the University of Minnesota performed a similar artwork in the mall area of campus this semester. Check out the article appearing in “The Minnesota Daily” on March 7, 2008 with this link http://www.mndaily.com/articles/2008/03/07/72166035. I find it intriguing that the artwork idea began and was executed through Facebook.
