Hey, Curtis. You’re right about the youtube video being way funnier than my re-telling of the quote. Thanks for the link.

But to answer your question: No. I sure don’t mean to turn this blog inot a Bush-bashing hate bulletin. I personally don’t want to take part in any hate speech. I believe we can and should disagree at times but still all get along. That’s what’s great about freedom of speech AND this country. Believe it or not, I had an American flag up in my office well before it became fashionable to have one. I’m way too patriotic, sometimes.

However, you’ll have to ask the other five Rowdies what their intentions are for this blog. I don’t even know the guys but one.

And the only reasons I started this new post with this quote are because: 1. I get a kick out of people (including myself, on most days) saying silly/stupid/cwazy things; 2. Despite its age, this quote stayed with me because it’s all of the above, and 3. I was lucky enough to see The Who perform in St. Paul last fall and good ol’ Pete Townshend can still crank out those windmills.

I will, however, in the interest of party fairness, make sure to submit an ancient/silly/stupid quote from a Democrat in my next entry. Trust me — it won’t be hard to come up with one.

    Thanks for the clarification, Ellen.

<> Me, too. I have a boat load of stuff I could share from my library of Curtis quotes.

    Thanks, again. 🙂

“But I like shitty haircuts,” -Vice President Walter Mondale (upon being told by a slick, media adviser in 1984 that Mondale would have to find a new hair stylist because the veep’s current cut “looked like shit”)
